Common faults of infusion pump and treatment

- Jan 27, 2019-

1. Bubble Alarm
Cause of failure: There are bubbles in the pipeline, and the liquid in the solution bottle or bag is empty.
Treatment methods: Open the warehouse door, take out the pump pipe, discharge bubbles, and replace the new infusion bottle;
2. Battery Low Voltage Alarm
Causes of failure: Battery/accumulator power is insufficient and battery charging is invalid;
Processing methods: link AC power supply and replace the same type of batteries;
3. Drop Alarm
Causes of failure: the liquid in the infusion bottle or bag is empty, the flow rate regulator is not open, the cap is not opened when exhausting, the sensor is misplaced, the sensor is damaged, the drop pot is unstable, there is swing, the drop pot has water mist, the drop pot liquid level is too high;
Treatment methods: Replace the new infusion, open the flow rate regulator, open the exhaust cap, place the sensor correctly, clamp the sensor in the drop pot, replace the sensor, fix the infusion pot, maintain stability, shake the drop pot, remove water mist, the liquid level in the drop pot can not exceed 1/2 of the height of the drop pot, put the infusion bottle positively, then squeeze part of the liquid back into the bottle, so as to reduce the liquid level;
4. Keep the Open Rate
Cause of failure: the infusion bottle or the liquid in the bag is empty;
Treatment methods: To change or stop infusion according to doctor's advice;
5. Pressure, blocking alarm
Causes of failure: the flow rate regulator (screw clamp) is not loosened, the infusion tube is discounted or compressed, the blood clot obstructs the venous access, and the proximal vascular pressure is too high;
Treatment methods: loosen the flow rate regulator (screw clamp), relieve the discount or pressure of the infusion tube, remove blood clots, loosen tourniquet, wear Wide Cuff clothes, avoid side blood pressure measurement of the infusion limbs;
